Advancing SRHR in Bangladesh – Vacancy for SRHR Assistant at UNFPA
UNFPA Bangladesh is seeking an SRHR Assistant (Local Service Contract, LSC-4) to be based in Dhaka. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh.
Working under the guidance of the SRHR team, the SRHR Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth implementation of programmes that expand access to integrated SRHR services, including family planning, maternal health, HIV prevention, and midwifery-led care. This position is central to strengthening national policies, enhancing healthcare delivery, and supporting equity-driven SRHR services across diverse contexts.
The responsibilities of the SRHR Assistant include programmatic, financial, and administrative support. This entails preparing and reviewing workplans, supporting monitoring and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with donor and organisational guidelines, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. The role also involves coordinating meetings, workshops, and trainings, facilitating communication with implementing partners, and documenting lessons learnt from programme activities.
Ideal candidates will bring at least four years of relevant experience in administration, finance, or office management within development programmes with secondary education or hold a bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience. Familiarity with SRHR issues in Bangladesh, prior work with UN agencies, and strong skills in workplan and expenditure management will be distinct advantages. Proficiency in both English and Bangla is required, alongside strong organisational, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
This is more than just an administrative role; it is an opportunity to be part of a team working toward UNFPA’s transformative results: ending preventable maternal deaths, unmet need for family planning, and gender-based violence and harmful practices.
If you are committed to equity, integrity, and driving impact in SRHR, apply before 10 September 2025 (5:00 PM).
